What the calculator does and does not do

It adds the amounts you enter, line by line, and for two offers shows the difference. It does not know any European prices: the fact-checks behind this site did not find verified European season costs, so for a club in Sweden, Finland, Czechia or elsewhere you enter the figures from the written offer.

The built-in North America figures are published prices from each school's own page, recorded on 10 August 2026 with their academic year. They are individual, dated data points, not an average or a ranking, and they are not a quote. Tuition changes every year; re-check the school's current page. Financial aid is not subtracted.

Ask the club or school to confirm every line in writing, including what happens to money already paid if the player leaves or is not registered. See the offer checklist, the North America academies guide and the route comparison.

FAQ

Why are there no European prices?

No verified, sourced figures for European junior seasons exist in EHA's fact-checks, and the route comparison deliberately shows no amounts. Rather than guess, the calculator asks you to enter the figures from your offer.

Do the North America figures include hockey costs?

Only Shattuck-St Mary's (a separate hockey fee) and OHA (a hockey and travel line) itemise hockey. For other schools the published figure does not say whether hockey costs are extra, so ask directly.

Can I compare a US and a Canadian offer?

Yes. Choose the currency for each offer and enter an exchange rate yourself. The calculator does not look up or assume a rate.
