GKS Tychy: club guide 2026/27

Club profile

The club's current hockey site and 2026 communications identify Stadion Zimowy in Tychy as the first team's home venue.

Management and coaching

• Head coach: Pekka Tirkkonen. GKS Tychy announced that his contract was extended through 30 April 2027.
• Hockey section manager / sports director: Jarosław Rzeszutko, identified by the club in current hockey communications.
• Club company president: Jolanta Mrówczyńska, listed on the official club page for Tyski Sport S.A.

Operational and sporting roles can change. Verify the official club page before approaching a named person.

Junior and development pathway

The local development route feeding GKS Tychy is closely connected with MOSM Tychy. The club's own current player profiles and announcements show MOSM-developed players moving into first-team contracts and roster roles. Exact youth team, birth-year eligibility, coaching staff and 2026/27 openings should still be checked with the current youth organisation before relocation.

Foreign players and roster status

This page does not claim an open import vacancy. GKS Tychy publishes first-team roster and transfer information, but eligibility and opportunity depend on current PZHL rules, citizenship/work status and the club's actual sporting need.

What a player should verify

• first-team role, line usage and special-teams expectations;
• contract term, guaranteed salary, bonuses and payment dates;
• housing, utilities, transport, meals and insurance;
• equipment and stick support;
• medical, injury, release and termination clauses;
• international transfer, PZHL registration and licence responsibility;
• legal right to work and reside in Poland.

League, transfer and work rules

Use the TAURON Hokej Liga guide for league-wide rules and the Poland country guide for work, visa and market context. International moves between national associations normally also require the applicable IIHF transfer process.

EHA assessment

EHA assessment — not an official club rule: GKS Tychy is a top-level Polish target, so a player should approach only with recent full-game video, verified statistics, a clearly defined role, citizenship, current contract status and evidence that the player's current level supports the proposed move. Do not present a speculative enquiry as if the club has published a vacancy.
