01

League position and verified status

TAURON Hokej Liga is Poland’s top senior ice hockey competition under the Polish federation structure. The official PZHL site and regulation directory use this competition name.

The final licensed field, schedule and complete 2026/27 rules must be checked before a player relies on a roster opening.

02

2026/27 competition framework

Competition structure, participating clubs and postseason route are governed by the current PZHL regulations and official calendar. Previous-season numbers must not be treated as the confirmed 2026/27 format unless they appear in the applicable documents.

03

Clubs and choosing a target

Target clubs by position, role, roster age, import history, location and authorised sporting contact. A listed team is not evidence of an open job. Verify the club’s licence and the person making the offer before sending documents or paying travel costs.

04

What clubs assess

Clubs compare skating pace, decisions under pressure, special-teams value, role, recent verified statistics, full-game video, health, contract status, citizenship and administrative readiness. The profile should show what the player can do at this exact level.

05

Roster and foreign-player checks

There is no safe universal import number to publish without the current competition directive and the player’s exact status. The club must confirm in writing how citizenship, registration history, age and roster restrictions apply on the intended match date.

06

Recruitment timing and tryouts

Recruiting occurs before and during the season, but there is no guaranteed public window for imports. Ask who invited the player, training and game dates, evaluation criteria, expenses, insurance, accommodation and the decision deadline. A trial is not a contract.

07

Contract, pay and housing

No official universal salary table covers every club. Put gross or net pay, payment dates, taxes, bonuses, housing, deposit, utilities, meals, travel, equipment, insurance, injury protection, trial status, termination and return travel in writing.

08

Residence and right to work

EU/EEA and third-country citizens follow different immigration and employment routes. A club invitation or sports contract does not by itself grant entry, residence or work permission. Verify the official Polish route before travel.

09

IIHF transfer, registration and insurance

A move between national associations follows current IIHF transfer rules. The international transfer does not replace PZHL registration, a competition licence, insurance, immigration permission or a valid contract. Confirm responsibility for each step and fee.

10

Player application package

Send passport and any second citizenship; birth year, position, shot, height and weight; current team; verified statistics; Elite Prospects or federation profile; role-based highlights and a recent full game; contract or release status; injury status and exact availability.
