JKH GKS Jastrzębie: club guide 2026/27

Club profile

The City of Jastrzębie-Zdrój states that the club's 2026/27 home games are being played in nearby Karviná because Jastor is undergoing modernisation. Do not assume the historical home rink is the current match venue.

Management and coaching

• Head coach: Rafał Bernacki, listed by the club on its current first-team staff page.
• Sports director: Leszek Laszkiewicz, listed by the club on the current staff page and in recent official interviews.
• Assistant coach: Marek Chrabański, listed on the current roster/staff page.

Staff can change during a season. Re-check the official club roster page before contacting a named person.

Junior and academy pathway

Akademia JKH is active in 2026/27. The club publishes current junior schedules, younger age-group teams and mini-hockey recruitment. For example, the junior schedule includes 2026/27 games and the academy recruitment page publishes current training information. Exact age eligibility and coaching arrangements should be verified for the player's birth year.

Foreign players and roster status

This page does not claim that JKH GKS Jastrzębie has an open import vacancy. The club's roster need, current PZHL eligibility rules, citizenship/work status and contract budget all need direct confirmation.

What a player should verify

• exact role, line usage and special-teams expectations;
• training location and 2026/27 home-game travel logistics;
• contract term, guaranteed salary, bonuses and payment dates;
• housing, utilities, transport, meals and insurance;
• equipment and stick support;
• injury, medical, release and termination clauses;
• IIHF transfer, PZHL registration and licence responsibility;
• legal work and residence route in Poland.

League, transfer and work rules

See the TAURON Hokej Liga guide for league-wide checks and the Poland country guide for work, visa and market context. An international move between national associations normally also requires the applicable IIHF transfer process.

EHA assessment

EHA assessment — not an official club rule: the temporary cross-border home-game setup makes logistics especially important in 2026/27. A player should clarify training location, transport, housing and schedule together with the sporting role. Approach only with recent full-game video, verifiable statistics, citizenship and current contract status.
