League position and verified status
IHL Serie A is Italy’s national senior championship within the Alps Hockey League framework. It is not a separate full regular-season league: designated games among the Italian AHL clubs create the national ranking.
Confirmed 2026/27 framework
FISG lists seven participating clubs: Unterland, Cortina, Gherdeina, Asiago, Merano, Renon and Wipptal. The top four Italian teams in the parallel AHL ranking advance to the national-title playoffs.
Roster and foreign-player rules
FISG permits a maximum of four Category B players, increased to five only when the fourth and fifth are Under 22. The club and FISG must confirm the player’s classification and eligibility before any agreement.
Clubs and choosing a target
Assess the seven clubs by position, role, AHL roster construction, coaching need, budget and an authorised sporting contact. Participation does not prove a vacancy.
What clubs assess
Clubs compare AHL-ready skating, execution speed, role, special teams, verified recent statistics, full-game video, health, contract status, citizenship and administrative readiness.
Recruitment timing and tryouts
The national semifinals are scheduled for 18–24 January 2027 and the final for 8–14 February 2027. A tryout or invitation is not a contract; confirm dates, evaluation criteria, costs, insurance and decision deadline in writing.
Contract, pay and housing
No official universal salary table exists for all clubs. Put gross or net pay, taxes, payment dates, bonuses, housing, utilities, meals, travel, equipment, insurance, injury protection and termination terms in writing.
Residence and right to work
Registration in IHL Serie A or the AHL does not grant entry, residence or work permission. Requirements depend on citizenship and contract status and must be checked with the competent Italian authorities before travel.
IIHF transfer, licence and insurance
FISG applies the IIHF deadline to IHL Serie A transfers. An international transfer does not replace FISG registration, competition eligibility, insurance, immigration permission or a valid contract.

Send passport and second citizenship; birth year, position, shot, height and weight; current club; verified statistics; Elite Prospects or federation profile; role-based highlights and a recent full game; contract or release status.
