01

League position and verified status

The Alps Hockey League is a multinational senior competition involving clubs from Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. Its place in the sporting system and its administrative route depend on the country of the specific club.

02

2026/27 competition framework

The official league announced 14 registered teams for its eleventh season. Its official transfer overview states that the season starts on 19 September 2026. Verify the final field, game count, phases and playoffs in the current schedule and League Mode.

03

Four countries and choosing a club

Assess more than the AlpsHL name: check the club, its national federation, role, training load, budget, housing, city and authorised sporting contact. Conditions can differ materially between clubs in the same league.

04

What clubs assess

Clubs compare pace, decisions under pressure, play without the puck, special teams, role, recent verified statistics, a full game, health, citizenship, contract status and readiness for a specific job.

05

Roster and foreign-player checks

Do not publish one universal import limit without the current rules and the player’s exact status. The club must confirm league rules, its federation requirements and the player’s eligibility for the intended match date.

06

Recruitment and tryouts

Confirm who invited the player, dates, evaluation criteria, proposed role, expenses, insurance, housing and decision deadline. A tryout, training participation or verbal offer is not a contract or registration.

07

Contract, pay and housing

There is no official universal AlpsHL salary table. Put gross or net pay, taxes, payment dates, bonuses, housing, deposit, utilities, meals, travel, equipment, insurance, injury protection, termination and return travel in writing.

08

Visa, residence and right to work

The law of the club’s country applies. EU/EEA and third-country citizenship may lead to different routes. An invitation, contract, registration or IIHF transfer does not itself replace lawful entry, residence or work permission.

09

IIHF transfer, federation and insurance

A move between national associations follows current IIHF transfer rules. The club must also confirm national-federation registration, AlpsHL eligibility, insurance and responsibility for fees.

10

Player application package

Send passport and any second citizenship; birth year, position, shot, height and weight; current club; verified statistics; Elite Prospects or federation profile; role-based highlights and a recent full game; contract status, health and availability.
