League position

J18 Nationell is presented here as an upper U18 route. Confirm the current groups, qualification format and participating clubs in the latest SIF material.

Age and registration

Birth-year eligibility and cut-offs are season-specific. Ask for the exact rule, registration date, exceptions and realistic games for the player.

Sporting assessment

Clubs assess skating, pace, skills, role, physical readiness, decision-making, full-game shifts and development potential, not highlights alone.

Foreign minors

Verify current SIF and IIHF conditions for an international transfer of a minor, including representation, education, safeguarding and any exceptional grounds.

School plan

Request the school, language, timetable, attendance, transport and responsible adult in writing. Education must remain workable if hockey plans change.

Housing and care

Clarify host family, boarding or parent accommodation, meals, room, curfew, insurance, transport, emergency contact and medical decision-making.

Recruitment timing

There is no universal tryout date. Ask whether the invitation concerns a real roster need, an assessment or a paid camp, and request a decision timeline.

Transfer and registration

A player last registered abroad may need an IIHF transfer and Swedish registration. Confirm who submits each document and when it must be complete.

Immigration and travel

Citizenship changes the administrative route. Check the official authority and consulate; selection does not itself grant permission to enter, study or register.

Costs and written terms

Ask for all fees, equipment, housing, travel and refund conditions in writing. Never pay an unknown person for an unverified guaranteed place.

Player package

Prepare year of birth, position, citizenship, current team, statistics, profile links, highlights and a full game, plus school and housing needs.
